The circular base of this stripped-back turntable is made from Delrin, a resin so dense that it behaves almost like metal. A two-kilogram slab of the stuff helps damp the moving mechanism, protecting it from vibration, while its unusually low friction grants your precious vinyl the smoothest possible ride. In contrast, the ACT 0.5 tonearm uses aerospace carbon fibre to ensure it is rigid and as light as the manufacturer can make it.
