Want to travel with more gadgets? Enter the slimline plug

The British 240V plug is an unwieldy piece of design: painful to tread on and awkward for travel. Min-Kyu Choi's elegant UK Folding Plug could be the solution. Shown at this summer's Royal College of Art graduate show, it collapses to a laptop-inspired 10mm thick. The 29-year-old, born in Korea, has also developed a slim three-plug adapter and a plug-in USB port for USB-charging devices. A Hong Kong plug manufacturer and a UK travel product company have already shown interest in Choi's design - but will it pass the safety test? He claims: "It's a 50/50 possibility."
