Uber is bringing its UberEats food delivery service to London.
Customers in London can download the app on iOS and Android or visit the UberEats website to have food delivered from over 150 restaurants including Hotbox, Chilango and Pho.
UberEats will be available in central London from 11am to 11pm, with free delivery for the first month.
The company said the new venture would give Londoners, restaurants and delivery partners “more options”. Uber's food delivery service will go up against the likes of Deliveroo and JustEat.
“With UberEats, people can get great food at the touch of a button with no minimum order size,” said Alex Czarnecki, general manager of UberEats.
Uber said that customer would get a £20 discount off their next order if food was not delivered within 30 minutes.
Uber first trialled UberEats, then called UberFresh, in Los Angeles in December 2014. A full UberEats service was launched in the city in August 2015 and is now available in 17 cities across 5 countries: Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C. in the US, plus Toronto, Ottawa, and Edmonton in Canada, Melbourne in Australia, Paris in France, and Singapore. London is the 18th city to be added to the roster.
