Respawn's cheat bans for the PC version of Titanfall have started to come into effect, trapping players in what amounts to a cheat "Wimbledon".
Respawn is using the FairFight anti-cheat engine to pick up players who use aimbots to make killing enemies easier and artificially lower the game's difficulty.
Once the game has detected cheating the offending account will have a "FairFight: Cheat Detected" notification and will be banned.
Not entirely, though.
Cheaters can continue playing Titanfall, however they can only play with fellow cheaters. As Respawn puts it: "You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck."
Essentially Titanfall now has a mini cheater playpen running alongside the main game.
