Dating app Tinder is set to help young voters decide whether the UK should remain in the EU, by swiping left and right.
The 'Swipe the Vote' feature challenges UK Tinder users to test their knowledge of the EU and the divisive subjects surrounding the EU referendum, from state benefits to immigration.
"It's critical millennials - who will play a major part in deciding the Referendum - are aware of the policies in place when they submit their ballots," said Tinder in a blog post.
In preparation for the vote on June 23, Tinder users will see 'fact or fiction' cards presented in the same way they usually see potential dates.
They can then swipe right to answer 'fact' or left to opt for 'fiction'.
The feature will enable them to find out more about the issues surrounding Brexit, share their results and register to vote before the deadline at midnight on June 7.
To create the EU quiz, Tinder teamed up with Bite the Ballot, a non-profit organisation that encourages political engagement among young people.
In March, Tinder introduced a similar feature for US voters in order to help them learn more about this year's presidential candidates.
Some 85 per cent of Tinder's user base is aged between 18 and 34 - a key demographic but one that is known for its disappointing turnout at the polls.
Experts suggest younger voters are more likely to vote to stay in the EU, so if a significant number of Tinder users are encouraged to vote, this could potentially provide a victory for the Remain supporters.
Opinion polls are currently placing the Remain and Leave camps on a roughly even standing.
