Mike Judge's Silicon Valley may be satire, but its portrayal of San Francisco's tech scene rings remarkably true. No wonder, given its tech-world cameos and characters that are often based on real figures (spiritual Hooli CEO Gavin Belson bears a -resemblance to Salesforce cofounder Marc Benioff, for instance). Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel said the show is "basically a documentary". It helps, of course, that Valley bigwigs have a knack for outrageous lines of their own. The question is whether art imitates life or the other way round. Answer it for yourself: can you can tell the scripted comedy from the quotes by real billionaires? Silicon Valley S2 starts on April 12 on Sky Atlantic

  1. "People may take credit for your idea and try to sue you. How awesome is that?"
  2. "A squirrel dying in front of your house may be more relevant to your interests right now than people dying in Africa."
  3. "San Francisco has some of the craziest homeless people I've ever seen in my life."
  4. "If we can make your audio and video files smaller, we can make cancer smaller."
  5. "I'm going to fucking kill Google."
