Naim Audio Statement amp.

This free-standing configuration of twin power-amplifiers and a single pre-amp draws on Wiltshire-based Naim's four decades of R&D. The vertical form allows the high-spec components to be isolated -- this ensures optimum performance and uninhibited amplification. The interior of the aluminium, acrylic and laser-etched glass tower is continuously cooled by a silent airflow.

Cost: £125,000
