KEF MUO
In 2008, KEF introduced the Muon speakers. They were limited-edition aluminium obelisks, sculpted by industrial designer Ross Lovegrove, and they cost £140,000 a pair. The MUO may lack a consonant, but the original ethos, concept, material and designer remains, as does the unrivalled audio and build quality. Based around advanced twin 5cm drivers, it's easily the most impressive portable Bluetooth speaker WIRED has heard. £299 kef.com
PANONO CAMERA
Hurl the Panono into the air and, as it reaches the highest point, the 11cm Wi-Fi connected ball's 36 fixed-focus cameras simultaneously take a snap. It then stitches them into a 108MP full-spherical panoramic image - no selfie stick required. €1,499 panono.com
SAMSUNG SERIF
With a design that recalls the days when sets were significant pieces of furniture, this Samsung TV is a rare thing: a quirky designer collaboration that has made it to market. Created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the wide-based Serif can be placed without a stand or on screw-in legs, and keeps all its rear ports and cables tidied away behind a fabric screen. It's available in white, red or blue, and in 24" and 32" HD, and 40" UHD. From £599 samsung.com
