A Swedish architecture firm has invited Minecrafters to contribute ideas about what Stockholm could look like in 2023.
Housing company HSB Stockholm has picked a site in Kungsbroplan in Stockholm for a project in 2023, where they want to see ideas about housing in the future.
Architecture firm Equator has recreated that site in Minecraft, and invited players to design a tall building for the site between 1 and 31 July, 2013. Participants can log on to a server, and they'll be given a version of the site that they can fill with whatever they want.
On 8 August three winners will be chosen to be included in Equator's architectural proposal for the competition, as well as winning their creators a selection of Minecraft-related prizes.
We logged in and browsed the creations for half an hour or so, finding a fascinating variety of ideas and -- at the time of writing -- absolutely no penises. It's surely only a matter of time.
If you've got a copy of Minecraft and you'd like to check out the designs, or even submit one yourself, you can log on to ksf.so.
Instructions are in both Swedish and English.
