Google Glass gets first porn app, also first porn ban

A change to the Google Glass T&Cs banning adult content is forcing MiKandi -- developers of the technology's first porn app -- to rethink its saucy offering.

MiKandi's Tits & Glass app launched on 3 June and picked up around 12 active users as well as thousands of curious website visits.

However, as Google's terms and conditions state: "We don't allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material."

MiKandi CEO Jesse Adams asserts that the clause only appeared on the site over the weekend. "When we received our Glass and started developing our app two weeks ago, we went through the policy very carefully to make sure we were developing the app within the terms. "We double checked again last week when making the site live on the internet and available for install for testing during last week's announcement. We were not notified of any changes and still haven't been notified by Google."

Instead of opting for the withdrawal method, the developers will be making changes to the app "in order to comply with the new policies". It will be interesting to see how a porn app without nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material can function -- perhaps Google's adult content ban will accidentally usher in a new age of smut.
