Goat Simulator is heading to space

Goat Simulator: Waste of Space is a DLC for the original game and features goats exploring a space base

A new game from the makers of the inexplicably popular Goat Simulator sees the cloven-hoofed animals blasting off to space.

Goat Simulator: Waste of Space is a DLC for the original 'vanilla' version of the game and features the playable goats exploring a space base, fighting with rainbow lightsabers and even piloting spaceships.

Developed by Gone North Games and released by goat simulation game experts Coffee Stain Studios, the galactic game's trailer includes nods to sci-fi classics such as Star Wars, Star Trek and Alien.

The entertaining trailer shows a space colony being crowdfunding using a familiar-looking site called CrowdKicker.

The game, which is listed on the maker's website under the genre "High Tech Goat Simulation" is available for Windows, Mac and Linux as well as on Android, iOS, Amazon devices and Steam.

Along with its tongue-in-cheek goat simulators, Coffee Stain Studios also produces a number of quirky games including The Westport Independent, a simulator that recreates censorship in a totalitarian post-war state.

The studio previously teamed up with the makers of I Am Breadfor a bizarre crossover DLC called GoatBread in which the caprine characters teamed up with the doughy hero.
