Brewing as an art form
Bodum Pebo
The humble French press has been seriously outdone. By brewing your coffee in a vacuum, the aroma remains locked in and so more of the flavoured oils can be extracted from the grind. When water in the lower bowl boils, it is pushed up to join the coffee. Then, as the lower chamber cools, the liquid is drawn down through the filter. Bodum's design allows you to view the process. £55
Compact sauna
Duravit Eoos Inipi B
This compact, freestanding sauna is entirely self-contained, so you can install it almost anywhere. Simply push a button to pour water over heated stones to raise the temperature, or programme the timer. It comes with an external wooden frame in glossy white or dark walnut. Two people can recline in comfort and benefit from the sweltering heat.
From £7,032
Snooze in style
Hammacher Power Nap Capsule
Made from fibreglass-reinforced plastic and finished with a high-gloss varnish, this curvaceous pod is perfect for an indulgent afternoon snooze. Measuring H57 x W53 x L116cm, it includes a mattress with an undulating shape that places your head and legs slightly above the lumbar region. This is designed to relieve pressure on the back, encourage spinal alignment and improve overall circulation. $25,000

At your service
Micklish the Butler
This object acts as your very own Jeeves -- there to take care of all your on-the-go stuff. Made in San Diego from solid walnut and birch-laminated ply, its wall-mountable design can accommodate your wallet and keys in the top sleeve, your iPhone on the side slot (with a hidden space for your charger), and other items on the slide-out walnut element. The clock is handy, too. £110
Cell storage
Small Comb Shelving Sphere
This sculpted shelving clings on to the wall like a limpet.
Jaanus Orgusaar's design is made from 6mm waterproof plywood, available in bold black (shown), bright white and light brown. It measures 132 x 132 x 24.5cm and weighs just 9kg (plywood planks are very light). There are no screws: instead, it slots together, held by six metal rings. £210
Classic lighting
Verpan Wire
The welcome reissue of Verner Panton's bulb-shaped lamp, updated with an energy-saving LED, appears even more vibrant than the 1972 original. The Danish designer, famous for his innovative use of colour, created this lamp from a coil of wire to reveal the light fitting, topped by a dome of vividly coloured polycarbonate. £695
Reflective roundhouse
G-Pod Deluxe Summerhouse
This 10m-diameter sphere gives an all-around view of your garden from its comfy interior. The polished polycarbonate panels are reflective to mirror the surroundings and tinted to prevent glare (the tint also prevents it becoming a giant solar oven). The door and two of the windows slide upwards for ventilation; inside are two built-in sofas that seat up to ten people. £16,495
