In Game of Thrones, all men must die - and therefore might want to plan their finances accordingly. As the series (if not necessarily with Jon Snow) returns for its sixth season, WIRED asks Alison Longdon, head of product at life insurance firm Staysure, to estimate coverage against George RR Martin's unpredictable hand.

Daenerys Targaryen

Age: 21 Risks: Dragons, regicide Premium:£38 per month "Daenerys would need to take out some cover for herself in case one of her beloved dragons turns on her, as well as psychiatric cover if she succumbs to the Targaryen madness," says Longdon.

Tyrion Lannister

Age: 38 Risks: Greyscale, alcoholism, STD Premium:£61 per month "I would recommend that Lannister should go for a private health-insurance policy with full inpatient cover for injuries and a worldwide travel option while he's in Meereen," says Longdon.

Cersei Lannister

Age: 42 Risks: Assassination Premium:£111 per month "Cersei should look for private health insurance with access to the exclusive hospitals in King's Landing," Longdon suggests. "She should add Jaime on to it, though they'll need reminding he can't be listed as her spouse."

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will be broadcast on Sky Atlantic at 2AM July 17 and repeated at 9PM on the same day.
