Dealing with an overflowing email inbox can seem like a full-time job, so apps that can help reduce the time it takes to read them are welcome, says TL;DR creator Ami Ben-David. Here are four of our favourites. (TL;DR? Long emails suck. Auto-edit.)
This invitation-only app bundles similar emails together -- keeping your travel documents separate from promotions -- and gives you each email's highlights.
Emails can be swiped into the trash, moved to your desktop or told to return to your inbox later. The auto-swipe function learns from past swipes.
Turns your email into a quasi-Facebook feed. "You can read short emails and reply from the feed," says Ben-David, "and answer emails with one tap using the "like" function."
A highly integrated app: photos can be quickly attached from Dropbox and received content saved to Evernote. A bulk edit function enables you to archive en masse.
