Build a p2p bonus system Zappos

Employees of US-based online retailer Zappos can award cash bonuses to colleagues (as long as they are their peers or junior). "This allows every employee to go above and beyond to thank a peer," says Kristen Kaelin, "head of engagement" at Zappos. "It's not scalable for just one manager to recognise everyone's work." Members of staff can give out either a $50 (£31) bonus or "Zappos money", called Zollars. These can be used to redeem Zappos-branded products, cinema tickets and items sold through the company's internal Zollar Store. Zollars can also be converted into dollars to donate to a supported charity.
