For the second day running, BT Broadband and Plusnet customers were left without internet services.

A major outage, blamed on 'power issues at a partner site in London' took down the network yesterday morning and spread across the UK, from London to Leeds, Liverpool and Bristol. Service was restored by the afternoon.

But BT Broadband's woes continued today. Some BT and Plusnet customers had problems connecting to some internet services this morning because TeleHouse North, one of BT's partners, suffered a power failure. Read more: My broadband is down, can I get compensation?

TeleHouse added that the issue was caused by the tripping of a circuit breaker within TeleHouse North.

Services have now been restored for consumer and small businesses, although BT told WIRED: "A small number of larger businesses may still be experiencing some limited internet access. Engineers should have these fixed soon."

A live outage map on DownDetector shows reports were coming in from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Milton Keynes, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Liverpool, and Leicester. There were also problems on Plusnet and Sky. Plusnet's Twitter handle posted the same tweet as BT.

Problems began at 06:21am BST and there was a spike in reports, with almost 2,300 customers complaining, shortly after.

BT additionally offers a service status page on its site where people can check if they are still affected by the outage.
