We just can't take our eyes off these three attention-grabbing pieces of tech:

Catopsys Immersis VR Projector

This angular lamp-style projector brings an IMAX theatre experience to your living room for a more sociable form of virtual reality. Immersis takes a user-provided 3D model of the room, or a description of its dimensions. Then, built-in image calibration software distorts the projection to map it on to any curves and corners. A central television screen can be integrated to provide a higher-resolution area or for gaming controls. $2,500 (£1,630)

Cirin elastic-band car

Translating the potential energy of a single five-metre rubber band into speeds of up to 50kph, this remote-control car can travel more than 150m before needing to be rewound. Once this elastic engine has been twisted up inside the central carbon-fibre tube, a remote-controlled servo motor will release or hold it on demand, and a second servo allows the car to be steered. £poa

Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815

Take control of your swing with the highly adjustable Alpha 815 driver. A movable centre of gravity can be lowered to increase launch angle. The hosel provides eight options for the loft and lie to ensure your club face hits the ball at the optimum angle. Callaway's thin and light R•MOTO face tech lowers spin and maximises shot speed and distance without compromising on forgiveness for mishits. £379
