Paintballing too messy? Have good, clean fun with a replica airsoft rifle
HOW WE TESTED
We took the rifles to airsoft experts Wolf Armouries' range in Camden, London and fired at targets at a range of between eight and ten metres -- simulating typical close-quarter battle (CQB) distances. We used the rifles in both single-shot and fully automatic modes and measured how tight the grouping (the size of the shot cluster) was in each mode.
REGULATIONS
Because of the 2006 Violent Crime Reduction Act, if you want to buy a "realistic imitation firearm" (RIF), you need to register as an airsoft player with the United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association. To complete registration you have to play three times within two months at a Ukara-registered skirmish site, after which you can buy any RIF you like.
