Amazon free delivery extended to 13,000 pickup locations

Amazon customers can now opt for free delivery to over 13,000 pickup locations throughout the UK.

Amazon's pickup locations can be found in newsagents, libraries, business parks, railway and petrol stations and Post Offices.

To be eligible for free delivery, an order will need to include £10 or more of books, or £20 or more of items from any Amazon store. Orders should arrive at the selected pickup locations -- which include more than 300 Amazon Lockers -- up to two days after they're dispatched.

Customers can choose a pickup location when they reach the checkout, and will be sent a confirmation email and collection instructions once their parcel reaches its destination.

John Tagawa, Amazon UK's Vice President of Operations, said: "We are always trying to lower costs for our customers. For many people, collecting from an Amazon Pickup Location is the delivery option of choice."

He continued: "Our customers were telling us that free delivery to a pickup location would be a great value service and we agree."
