Cristina Santín is a research fellow at the Biodiversity Research Institute (CSIC–University of Oviedo–Principality of Asturias) in Spain and an honorary associate professor at Swansea University in the United Kingdom. Her current research focuses on the effects of fire on carbon dynamics and water quality and, also, on fuel characterization for fire behavior modeling, fire impacts on soils, and social perceptions of fire.
