Carsten Schurmann and Jari Kickbusch
Carsten Schurmann is an associate professor at the IT University of Copenhagen. He is an election technology expert and is heading the DemTech, a research project that investigates how the use of technology in the election process affects voter’s trust. Jari Kickbusch is a journalist and author and is a member of the DemTech team. Carsten Schurmann and Jari Kickbusch have observed elections in Egypt, Australia, Norway and Estonia and have closely worked with election commissions of different countries on questions related to the introduction of electronic voting technologies. They were also observers in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia at the U.S. Presidential Election 2018.
