Every January, America's biggest consumer electronics expo takes over a large chunk of Las Vegas. The convention center, two or three hotels, the streets, the nightclubs. It's a gadget paradise---or purgatory, depending on your outlook. Funny thing is, CES is largely a B2B show. Companies do big-money deals in private suites to secure manufacturing orders, negotiate exclusive retail shelf space placement, and poach oversees talent. But there's still a giant expo that's filled with products for consumers. Every conceivable piece of personal technology is on display, right in your face, begging you to stare. The expo hall where the action is. The bombastic, gaudy, deafening action. We sent photographer Amy Lombard out to roam the millions of square feet of floorspace at CES. Her photos really capture the spirit of the show in all of its beautiful, terrifying glory. Dip in, and remember not to eat the shrimp at the buffet.
