Saturday Night Live has opened each episode since its October 1 premiere with election satire. Led by Alec Baldwin’s impersonation of Donald Trump and Kate McKinnon’s take on Hillary Clinton, the show has taken consistent shots at both candidates. This time, though, the Donald has had enough.
After cranking up the Trump jokes to 11 last week, SNL started this weekend’s episode with a send-up of the previous presidential debate. The cold open was followed quickly by a Lemonade-themed music video with Melania Trump (played by Cecily Strong) standing in for Beyoncé on a rebooted version of "Sorry" (sample lyric: "we're spilling tea with our pinkies up")—a possible jab at the Blame Bey campaign Trump's surrogates are on.
After the episode aired, Trump tweeted that not only was the show "boring and unfunny” but that it was a "hit job" that proved "media rigging election."

Putting aside that SNL targets every presidential candidate (and has for decades) that’s a much different opinion of the show than the one he had when he hosted a little less than a year ago. It’s also one that is a part of a longer tweetstorm the Republican nominee sent out over the weekend claiming the media is rigging the election in his Democratic opponent’s favor. Read those tweets here, and watch Melanianade below.
Oh, and don't forget to vote on November 35th!
