The last week has been a lull. Recovering from Comic-Con International, catching up on all the TV and movies we missed while we were in San Diego—the last few days have been busy, but not chaotic. The chaos starts next week when we have Suicide Squad, a new Frank Ocean album, and the Olympics to take in on top of all the other movies, TV, music, and Internet we’re consuming. Yeah, man, next week—hold on to your butts!
But that doesn’t mean we don’t have anything to share on this week’s Monitor podcast. In fact, we might have more to say about Jason Bourne than Jason Bourne. (Seriously, dude had only a couple dozen lines in that whole movie.) We’d also like to share our disappointments with the current seasons of UnReal and Mr. Robot and finally talk about what went down in Stranger Things. Oh, and we still have a few more things to say about Pokémon Go.
So settle in. We’ve got writers and editors Peter Rubin, Angela Watercutter, and K.M. McFarland in the podcast booth and we’re enjoying this respite before next week’s onslaught of culture.
