Filmmaker Werner Herzog's new documentary, Lo and Behold, is all about the Internet and the ways—both good and bad—that it is affecting our world. Yet Herzog himself doesn't really spend much time online. He doesn't have a smartphone. He doesn't have a Twitter account. He knows what Facebook is, but he "decided not to sign up." Despite that—or perhaps because of it—he has some pretty smart advice for living in our tech-drenched culture. (His thoughts on using emojis? "Let them keep smiling. I don't care.")
