For The Man in the High Castle, visual effects artists had to not only turn sets in Canada into America, they also had to turn it into an America in 1962 that had been run by Axis powers for a few years. To do that, they both removed buildings and landmarks associated with our modern world, and also covered the structures that remained with Nazi imagery—something many places, obviously, didn’t want to do.
