Leaping out of the sewers yet again, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to the world of videogames. Published by Activision, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan was officially announced today with a frantic trailer after a couple of weeks of rumors and leaks.
Over their many years of history, the heroes in a half-shell have been in a lot of videogames, some of them good and some of them not so much. But this one is being developed by Platinum Games, known for over-the-top action games like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising. They've also been on an '80s cartoon kick lately after last year's Transformers: Devastation, a solid love letter to the most classic iteration of the franchise.
With Platinum's pedigree and apparent passion for toyetic animation, Mutants in Manhattan has a chance to be something special when it launches this summer for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
