We’ve got a multi-talented staff at WIRED, but nobody quite comes close to the dual career of our managing art director, Victor Krummenacher. If anyone recognizes that name, it’s probably because when he’s not designing pages for our magazine, he’s a 20-year veteran musician, most notably the co-founder and bassist in legendary California rock band Camper Van Beethoven. Since he still writes, records, and performs regularly, WIRED was lucky enough to get him to play “If You Won’t Break My Heart, I Don’t Stand a Chance,” a song from his 2015 solo album Hard to See Trouble Coming, live in our San Francisco studio.
