This week is a sad one. We lost one of our most admired and beloved artists: David Bowie. On this week’s WIRED Culture podcast we discuss Bowie’s legacy.

This week is a sad one here in the WIRED Culture department. We lost one of our most admired and beloved artists: David Bowie.

Podcast

Whether you ever had a huge Bowie phase or not, if you loved music, movies, or art, it’s impossible he didn’t touch your life in some way—even if that just means he influenced one of the artists you love and admire. To that end, we’re spending a fair amount of time on The Monitor this week reminiscing about the man who gave us “Space Oddity”—and, in many cases, made us weirdos feel less alone.

The latest culture podcast installment isn’t all sad, though. We also have a lot to talk about when it comes to the box office streak that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on and this weekend’s fairly lackluster Golden Globes. So settle in. We’ve got editors and contributors Peter Rubin, Angela Watercutter, and K.M. McFarland in the booth and we’re here to support you.
