Guys. GUYS. The wait is over! The time has come. We can finally talk about Star Wars: The Force Awakens! (Everyone saw it this weekend, right? If not, get out.) What a lovely day!
First thing’s first: Do NOT listen to this podcast if you haven’t seen J.J. Abrams’s new Star Wars movie. We talk about a lot of very specific details from The Force Awakens and if you haven’t seen it yet, you will get spoiled. That said, what are we discussing generally? For one, we’ve got a rundown of our favorite callbacks to, and jokes based on, the original Star Wars trilogy (that gag about [REDACTED] was hilarious, right?!). We’ve also got deep thoughts on our new favorite characters and how we feel about the worldbuilding and special effects in this latest installment of the saga.
Long, long story short: We have a lot of material to go over.
So, tune in, you shall. We’ve got editors and contributors Peter Rubin, K.M. McFarland, Angela Watercutter, and special guest Adam Rogers in the booth and they’re ready to do a Kessel Run of reactions to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and would like to see if you can keep up.
