There was a lot to be excited about in the world of pop culture in 2015. Like, a lot of a lot. But no year in movies/TV/music/etc. is perfect. Into every culture junkie’s life some disappointments must fall.

So it is with this week’s episode of The Monitor. After spending last week’s podcast diving in to all of our favorite things of 2015, we devoting this week’s gabfest to the things that disappointed us the most. (Bah humbug, etc.) Tomorrowland, Spectre, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and the rapid decline of True Detective’s second season all get a turn in the dunce corner. But lest you think we’re just a huge group of haters, don’t fret. We’re keeping it short this week, so this episode won’t just be an hour of kicking people when they’re down. We’re not cruel.
So join us, won’t you? We’ve got editors and contributors Peter Rubin, K.M. McFarland, Angela Watercutter, and Charley Locke on the horn and they would like to share their woes with you. (Don’t worry, they’re funny woes!)
