This week’s new releases at the multiplex were very lackluster. That was good news for The Martian, which continued its box office dominance, but bad news for newcomers Our Brand Is Crisis and Burnt—both of which fizzled.
Luckily, though, the time we didn’t have to spend at the movies we were able to spend gorging on other media. That means that this week on The Monitor podcast we’ve got a lot to say about the new season of The Knick (so good!), the current state of podcasting (so interesting!), and the new Adele song (so divisive!).
And that’s just the beginning. We’re also hashing out our feelings on the recently-announced new Star Trek series and Jon Stewart’s new deal with HBO. We’ve got editors and contributors K.M. McFarland, Angela Watercutter, and edit fellow Charley Locke ready to talk your ear off about all of it, so hop in the listening booth, won’t you?
