In anticipation of the Welcome to Night Vale novel hitting stores Oct. 27, the podcast's creators Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor appeared on The Late Show last night and brought along the voice of Night Vale himself, Cecil Palmer (actor Cecil Baldwin), to do an installment of the show’s recurring Community Calendar segment. It was yet another example of how Stephen Colbert is expanding guest bookings to introduce niche culture to a wider audience and bring those niches back into the late-night fold.
