The most interesting personal technology product of the year, without question, is the Apple Watch. The company's executives who spoke on stage today at WWDC made the watch even more compelling by announcing that the wearable will be able to run its own native applications, rather than relying on a tethered iOS device. Even more exciting, developers' creations will gain access the sensors and controls built into the watch. Apple's wearable will also earn some new base functions that watch owners will find delightful, like the ability to add new watch faces, custom complications, new modes, and view more information on the screen in several apps.
These new capabilities will show up on your wrist this fall with the next major watchOS update. Apple VP Kevin Lynch blew through the enhancements to watchOS 2.0 when he gave his demo this morning, and he showed off a crazy number of new features. We've selected our 10 favorites. Here's what we're most excited about seeing on our Apple Watches.
