Phones, phones, phones. That's the mantra of Mobile World Congress, the smartphone industry event of the year where the world's top manufacturers gather in Barcelona, Spain to showcase their latest products. The show just wrapped up, and this is our look at what stood out as the best hardware at the expo.
This year, every brand has an improved flagship handset made with improved components and finer materials like aluminum and sapphire glass. Prices are getting lower too, bringing these premium features to more affordable devices.
While the main focus is still on traditional handsets, lots of the cool gadgets announced here aren't phones at all. Technology is being shaped around our wrists: fitness trackers, smartbands, and smartwatches are still in abundance. It's been a year since the explosion of Android watches, and we're still trying to figure out what the next big thing will be. Maybe we'll learn a little more in a few days with the Apple Watch event.
