Switzerland. Home to outstanding chocolate, incredible watches, stunning views, secretive banks, and, once a year, the Geneva Motor Show.
Geneva is where all the European automakers show off their stunning new wares to the world, launching prototypes and concepts to showcase new design directions, as well as new models that will hit showrooms within a few months.
This year saw more than 70 exhibitors sporting dozens of amazing new cars that pushed the limits of technology---and our wallets. Aston Martin and McLaren showed us that British engineering is alive and well, while Koenigsegg and Bugatti dazzled us both with the end of an era, and the beginning of another.
Ford officially launched the all-wheel drive Focus RS, a worthy competitor for the Subaru STI (and one of the few exciting cars at the show that we might actually be able to afford) and Mercedes Maybach launched the enormous (and enormously expensive) Pullman, a stunning 21-foot long limo with room for four on leather-covered seats that probably cost more to make than your car did.
