Holy Crap There's a Lot Going on in the New Hunger Games: Mockingjay Trailer

The first full trailer for Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1 is here—and hot-damn is it a lot more action-packed than the last one! It's still not long enough, but we'll take it.

Siiiiiigh. OK, so it's still not the two-minute-plus mini-movie we hoped for, but the second "trailer" for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1 is even better than the first. We've got President Snow (Donald Sutherland) trying to pour ice into Katniss' veins. We've got lovable Effie (Elizabeth Banks) in drab old revolutionary garb. And we've got Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) as the 13th Cylon speaking as an ambassador for the Capitol and fan of ceasefires. And we've got one very angry—finally!—Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). Yes, this tease gives us a much more empowered Katniss than the first. She's no longer just the overwhelmed figurehead tepidly telling a room full of battle-wounded folks she's down for the struggle. Nope. She's shooting down Capitol airships and making demands of President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore). So many questions remain, though! Where will Mockingjay—Part 1 inevitably induce heart attacks by stopping mid-story and making us wait a whole year to see the conclusion? Where has Johanna (Jena Malone) been since the propaganda teasers with Snow and Peeta? Will we actually care about Prim (Willow Shields)—perhaps the dullest catalyst for revolution in the history of fiction—by the time this story ends? And, Lionsgate, will you give us a damn full trailer before November or do we have to start sending very strongly-worded tweets?
