The blizzard that has been pummeling the East Coast since yesterday has dumped a thick, white blanket over a huge swath of land. Today, NASA's Terra satellite took this true-color image of the storm's aftermath.
More than a foot of snow has been reported in many New England locations with winds up to 50 mph creating huge drifts and difficult driving conditions as far south as Washington D.C. According to FlightAware.com, the number of canceled flights yesterday and today due to the storm is approaching 5,000.
