Watch live as a scientists and engineers celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Spirit and Opportunity rovers landing on Mars by looking at what we now know about the Red Planet and ahead at future exploration. The live feed starts at 7:30 a.m. PT/10:30 a.m. ET.

Put on by NASA and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C., the program will start with a review of the fascinating science we have learned in the decade since the Mars Exploration Rovers landed. The discussion will include planetary scientist Steven Squyres of Cornell, who led the rover team, as well as geologist John Grant from the NASM and NASA roboticist David Lavery. The second half of the talk will outline how to take what we've learned and apply it to a potential manned Mars mission that could launch in the 2030s. NASA microbiologist Mary Voytek and engineer John Connolly will join the agency's associate science administrator John Grunsfeld to discuss this topic.
