There's still no word on the Sif spinoff film she's been hoping for, but Jaimie Alexander won't have to wait for Thor 3 to play the Asgardian goddess again: Marvel and ABC revealed today that Alexander will reprise the role in the 15th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., set to air next month.
While S.H.I.E.L.D. has intersected with the Marvel cinematic universe before -- episode 8, "The Well," was a direct follow-up to *Thor: The Dark World *-- Alexander's Sif is the first big-screen superhero to make her way to the show. Alexander was last seen onscreen as Sif in Thor: The Dark World, but she strapped on her Asgardian armor again in November for an in-character visit to a children's hospital. Aside from a brief cameo from Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury in October, she's the highest-profile player from the larger Marvel universe to appear in the ABC series.
