First, the good news: Game of Thrones is coming back. Now, the not-as-good news: It won't be returning until April 6.
BUT! There is at least some new footage afoot. HBO will be releasing the full trailer for the new season of Game of Thrones on Sunday before the premiere of its creepy new murder investigation show True Detective. However, to make sure we don't die out of anticipation, they've also released a few Vines – about 20 seconds of footage total if you don't count the announcements at the end of each one – from that trailer. Trailers for trailers, everyone. It's the wave of the future. Hey, this is GoT we're talking about – we'll take what we can get.
So, what do we get? Some Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) standing stoically. Tyrion Lannister in handcuffs looking pretty pissed off. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) driving his sword through – someone or something? It all looks pretty cool, but presumably it'll look much cooler when it's all strung together into an actual trailer. Stay tuned.
