How do you introduce a new breed of open-wheel racing to notoriously finicky U.S. race fans? Drive it down the most American thing on the continent: the Las Vegas Strip.
That's what former F1 driver Lucas di Grassi did before the official stateside debut of the Formula E racer at CES.
The all-electric racing series, slated to start this September with events in Los Angeles and Miami, made a run down the major artery of Sin City, although it didn't use its 270-hp electric motor to get anywhere near its 150 mph top speed. That will have to wait for the season opener in Beijing on September 13th. Until then, get an eyeful in the video above.
