This is the kind of thing every collector dreams of: Buy a box full of old videogames and find one of the most valuable games on the planet buried at the bottom.
Skip ahead to about 1:40 in this video to see YouTube user ORTPRO's reaction when he comes across Stadium Events, the rarest U.S. retail cartridge for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Since very few of these change hands, accurate pricing is a little difficult to nail down, but it's at least worth over $3,000 today as NES collecting has become more popular. ORTPRO says he paid $50 for the box – which would have been a great deal even without the mega-find.
What the YouTube commenters are currently fighting about is, is this a genuine reaction? ORTPRO muddied the waters, unfortunately, since the first thing he did with his find was post an obviously staged video in which he pretends to not know what the game is. He admitted it was a prank before posting his real reaction above, which looks pretty good to me unless he's secretly a highly trained actor.
Maybe I'm being taken for a ride and there will be a full-length video later in which Jimmy Kimmel appears to tell us we were all punked. But it looks pretty real to me, especially the part where his wife makes him put the game into a Ziploc.
