Dear Readers,
In between looking at legal loop-holes, finding a replacement for nitrocellulose, talking to sponsors and doing some lectures I have been really busy at getting the main structure of my next capsule ready.
Next summer 2014, we are planning on launching the HEAT2X rocket with my scaled down capsule TDS-80. It has a diameter of app. 640 mm and a mass of 80 kg. This capsule has the potential to go all the way to 112 km - our very first space shot with a real atmospheric re-entry!
Please enjoy the latest video by Claus Mejling about the very first structure assembly of the TDS-80 capsule.
This week I am planning on getting the capsule fitted all together and Wednesday René and I will have it almost ready for the avionics dudes to start tailoring their development for the capsule. There is nothing like the smell of aluminum in the morning.
ps. Does anyone know about a very exclusive brand of Vodka? Steen Andersen and I have an idea...
