That's No Pumpkin; It's a Space Station

There might not be an actual laser-powered sword in this galaxy, but Shun's Sora Ultimate Utility Knife is a pretty cool blade in its own right. After we took a look at this knife back in the October issue of WIRED, we gave it to Mark Evan and Chris Soria at Maniac Pumpkin Carvers and had them work the force on a weak-willed pumpkin. Although the Sora Ultimate wasn't their preferred tool — they called it the "Jar Jar Binks" of pumpkin carving — they were able to use it to carve at least part of a huge jack-o'-lantern. After switching to more detail-friendly blades, the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers created a scary-looking visage of Darth Sidious, better known as the Galactic Empire’s head honcho — a guy not to be trifled with. Say hello to Emperor Pumpatine.
