Most people know Slash as the guitarist in Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, but he also has another gig: film composer. The guitar hero laid down the haunting score for the new horror flick Nothing Left to Fear, and according to the man himself the process was something else entirely compared to his day job. "It brings out a completely different musician in me when I do it," Slash told WIRED. "For some reason, looking a picture, looking at a storyboard, reading a script, or looking at the movement on the screen, inspires me to do something that I cannot do when I'm just writing a song to make a regular rock record." Set in Stull, Kansas – a.k.a. one of the gateways to hell – the movie was directed by Anthony Leonardi III and, Slash said, starts out kind of "summery" before getting super, super dark. "It's a very somber, very haunting, and dark movie," Slash said. Nothing Left to Fear is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD.
