If your walls and bookshelves are lined with classic vinyl, and you'd rather jam to Hendrix than blast some Blurred Lines, your audio needs may not be satisfied by the average wireless speaker. Luckily, Marshall, maker of amplifiers used by greats like Eric Clapton and The Who, is entering the space with a pint-size speaker just for you.
Okay, maybe pint-sized isn't the right word. Marshall's Stanmore speaker does weigh in at a hefty 11.2 pounds and measures 13.8 x 7.2 x 7.2 inches. Still, all that's easy to overlook considering it's impressive blend of old school looks and modern features.
For starters, you'll get two 0.75-inch tweeters, a 5.25-inch woofer, and a 40mm driver, more than enough for sufficient rocking. The Stanmore also gives music fans multiple options when it comes to audio input. You can connect with the speaker via Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, RCA, or optical audio, so you're covered whether you want to stream iTunes Radio from your phone or hook it up to a turntable.
And of course the Stanmore has Marshall's signature knobs on the top for adjusting volume, bass, and treble levels. There's something so much more satisfying about adjusting levels with a knob instead of a button.
You can get a Stanmore for $400.
