Modern smartphones demand a regimented charging schedule. Like you, they need to replenish their batteries every night. Optimally, when you're sleeping in your bed, your phone should be lying down beside you. O'Dea's induction chargers are lovely wireless mattresses for you to rest your phone when it's not in your pocket.
There are two entries in O'Dea's Raw Induction series. First is the #concretecharger (yes, they spell it like a hashtag), which embeds an inductive charger and an NFC tag in a triangular hunk of concrete. It's topped off with cork, and it can charge two devices at once. There's also the single-device #cherrycharger, which packs the same guts as its concrete sibling into what looks like a wood-paneled Mac Mini. This one is topped with felt.
Simply lay your inductive-charging-capable smartphone on top of one to start the refueling process. Both devices use the Qi standard, so you can charge a Nexus 4, a Galaxy S4, a Lumia 920 or any of the Qi-based wireless dongles on the market. When you wake up in the morning refreshed, your phone will be ready to go, too.
The company is taking pre-orders and will ship the products in the fall. The dual-device concrete model is $550, and the single-device wood model is $450.
