Penny Arcade Expo East is almost here! Here’s what Game|Life will be up to at the gaming convention, which takes place March 22-24 in Boston. As always, we’ll be reprising the Retrogame Roadshow, now in its third year! Game Show Night, after a successful debut at PAX Prime in Seattle last fall, will now rock PAX East like a trivia-soaked hurricane. And more!

In addition to the panels listed below, I’m happy to announce that we’ll be teaming up with Twitch again to present live Game|Life shows every day from the PAX East show floor. We’ll have live demos of new games, interviews with game creators, and probably some prizes for the live studio audience. Watch this space for more details as we get closer to the shows.

Friday, March 22, 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. — Game Show Night! (Naga) Think you’re a trivia master? Know your way around a question board? Enjoy comedy? Come on down to Game Show Night and you might get the chance to compete for fabulous prizes! Dan Amrich of Activision will host a game of Jeopardy, The Escapist’s Susan Arendt will assemble a panel of talent to play Match Game, and yours truly will lead the crowd in a game of Family Feud. It’s three straight hours of madcap fun.

Saturday, March 23, 11:00 a.m. — Radio Free Nintendo (Arachnid) The good people of Nintendo World Report have invited me on their live podcast, where we will no doubt talk about all things Nintendo until they kick us out of the room.

Saturday, March 23, 7:00 p.m. — 404’ing It: Breaking (Down) The Internet (Naga): My good friend Pat Baer hosts a comedy show called 404’ing It at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, a jocular revue of the Internet’s greatest hits and misses. For this special PAX edition of the show, Pat will invite me, Harmonix’s Eric Pope and Giant Bomb’s Ryan Davis on stage to… do something.

Saturday, March 23, 8:30 p.m. — Retrogame Roadshow (Naga): Are Your Old Games Buried Treasure?! Immediately following 404’ing It, stay nearby the Naga theater so you can see the big show, our semi-annual tour of the treasures you find in your closets. Old games can be worth big money, but in this age of counterfeits and inflated prices, it’s tough to know what’s collectible gold and what’s just fools’ gold. Our panel of experts will evaluate your items, telling you why they’re rare (or not!) and guess at a price. If you’d like to bring your items up on stage, email me at wiredkohler@gmail.com and let me know what you’ve got!
