Kinect Sesame Street TV made a big splash with my daughter when it was released last fall, bringing her favorite characters to life on the television screen in an engaging, fun way. Today the second season of Kinect Sesame Street TV comes to Xbox LIVE, and the eight new interactive episodes have been improved to surpass the originals.
The 30 minute episodes continue to combine the staples of Sesame Street, like the number of the day, with physical activities that get your preschooler off your couch and jumping with glee. None of the segments of the Season 2 episodes get my daughter giggling and moving like the new "Grovercise." Grover leads viewers through his own brand of zany exercise that is so much fun I find myself wishing for it to be part of the television show.
Other new activities in Season 2 include "Begin It to Win It," which helps your child identify letter sounds, and one-on-one conversations with familiar Sesame Street faces like Elmo and Telly that encourage discussing feelings.
Season 2 episodes can be purchased and viewed without owning the Season 1 Kinect Sesame Street TV, so if you've got a Grover or Elmo fan in the house, I recommend giving an episode a try. Kinect Sesame Street TV Season 2 costs $29.99 (2400 Microsoft points) for an eight episode season pass on Xbox LIVE. Individual episodes can also be purchased for $4.99 (400 Microsoft points).
